Old Town San Diego
We loved visiting Old Town San Diego with its historic buildings and amazing restaurants. To really get a feel for Old Town San Diego and the rest of the city, I recommend taking the Old Town Trolley Tour. It was such a great way to get an overview of the city in a short amount of time.

Coronado
We didn’t have much time to explore Coronado, but it’s high on the list for a return trip. The area is full of cute shops and the beautiful Coronado Beach.
Balboa Park
Balboa Park is full of gorgeous Spanish-style buildings and amazing museums. I really want to visit the San Diego Natural History Museum, the San Diego Museum of Art, the Japanese Friendship Garden, and the Museum of Photographic Arts.

San Diego Zoo
I must admit that I am not the biggest zoo person in the world, but the San Diego Zoo is absolutely worth a visit. I loved seeing the pandas and had the best time on our private tour of the zoo.

Have you been to San Diego? What is your favorite thing to do in the city?
I know I would love the San Diego Zoo! I really enjoy zoos in general, so I imagine going to the best one in the country would be fun. :) Thanks for sharing! I think this is a fantastic idea for a blog post series.
ReplyDeleteWhen we make it back to San Diego to visit our friends I think that I'm going to insist that they take us to Coronado Island! It just looks so pretty and like so much fun! I feel like you can't visit San Diego and not go to La Jolla or the Zoo (although we did miss La Jolla during our first visit). I can't wait to see what your five things are in other cities!
ReplyDeleteI love this! San Diego is so much fun. Walking around La Jolla is one of my favorite things to do, and seeing the seals. I haven't made it to Coronado so the next time we get back out there I will be putting it on my list. Beautifully Candid
ReplyDeleteSan Diego is one of my favorite places :) My family moved from San Diego to Colorado when I was very young, and it's always such a treat to visit with my parents and go to the restaurant where they had their rehearsal dinner, walk on the beach that they'd take me when I was a baby, and explore the beautiful coastal towns. Such great memories with my grandmother at Balboa Park!!
ReplyDeleteI have never been, but it looks so nice!! My fiancΓ© and I LOVE to travel, we will have to add this to the list!

ReplyDeleteAwesome! We're considering a California trip for this year so this is super helpful!
ReplyDeleteThe San Diego Zoo I've heard is amazing but otherwise I've never been so know very little about the sites and scenes. La Jolla Cove looks like a beautiful spot to visit! I'd love to make it over there one day even though San Diego isn't on my immediate bucket list. Nice round up!
ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome city! I've never been to San Diego (or California) but I'd love to take a trip there some time! I'm excited for this series!
ReplyDeleteI love this series! You have the best adventures!
ReplyDeleteSo much fun! We're finally heading out to Cali this spring, but to San Francisco and wine country. I definitely want to go back soon after to do a southern Cali road trip and hit up these spots! Especially Balboa Park and the San Diego Zoo :-D

San Diego is so awesome! We did many of the same things when we went about 5-6 years ago. Weren't the pandas at the zoo so cool?!
ReplyDeleteI never spent much time in Coronado during my visits to SD, but I should change that! Our roommate Chels went and had afternoon tea at the hotel, which she said was super expensive but really amazing!
ReplyDeleteI have not spent much time there, so this is a great list for my next trip!!
ReplyDeleteOOoh good to know! I haven't been to San Diego! I loved seeing the old mission in San Francisco, I love that they have them all down the coast. I would be interested to see more if/when we go back! :) XO - Alexandra
