It’s baseball season
Today is opening day for the Texas Rangers! I used to not care about baseball, but a few years ago, I really started to love it, and now I look forward to baseball season every year. I definitely don’t watch every game, but I especially love it when we make it to the ballpark!
The flowers
One of my favorite things about spring in Texas is seeing all the bluebonnets on the side of the road. We also went to the Dallas Arboretum for Dallas Blooms on Friday (post coming soon), and I just loved seeing all the gorgeous spring flowers.
The weather
Wait, didn’t I just say I hate the weather? On those days when we don’t have a tornado watch hanging over our heads, I love the mild, spring weather. It’s my favorite time of the year to go on long walks with Skyler.
The clothes
Since the weather is usually nice and mild, I love wearing fun spring dresses this time of year! It’s so nice to be able to put winter boots away for the season.
Berries
This isn’t specific to Texas, but I absolutely love that it’s finally berry season again. I know you can buy berries year round, but they just don’t taste the same when they’re not in season. Now, I want to make all the raspberry smoothies and strawberry cupcakes!
Even when it's not my favorite months of the year, I still love this state! What's your favorite part of spring where you live?
Agreed that minus the tornado warnings and pollen, Texas in the Spring is actually pretty pleasant! The pretty spring flowers are my favorite for sure!
ReplyDeleteI don't blame you for not liking the spring weather because it brings tornado warnings, but love everything you mentioned in this post. The flowers are all so gorgeous and being able to wear spring clothes is so nice- love your dress!
ReplyDeleteHappy opening day!! I'm so happy spring is here.
ReplyDeleteI always love your spring dresses!!
ReplyDeleteOh so fun! Spring is happening here too, but we definitely don't have the immense wildflower fields...that I know of. But my backyard had a lot of small ones growing up. :) We have similar weather issues, lots of severe weather, but I grew up around it, so I am usually not too freaked out. :) I need more dresses added to my wardrobe this year! Hands down, my favorite part about Spring in Texas is all the bluebonnets! I thought that we might have missed them this year, but I was glad that we were able to find a patch to take pictures in this weekend! And hooray for baseball season! It really is so much fun to go to the games!
ReplyDeleteI just pulled out my flip flops & put my boots up... & just saw we're getting snow thursday... sigh... pulling them back out.
ReplyDeleteYes to all of this! Especially baseball and all the flowers <3

Oooh, those flowers are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI hate spring in Ohio and I'm not the least bit ashamed of it. One of our dogs hates storms (which happen weekly in the spring) and I hate bugs and the humid weather and the dirt smells and pretty much everything. Hahaha.
The only thing I'm ok with are the blooming flowers and baby animals. Other than that, spring is the worst up here. Ha.
The tornado's are definitely scary but when they aren't there it makes time there so enjoyable!! Love those gorgeous flowers!! xo, Biana -BlovedBoston
ReplyDeleteI would be really uneasy about tornado warnings too. I can remember we had a tornado here once and had to go down into our basement, but dealing with that all the time would probably make spring a not so favorite for me either. Those flowers you saw are so unique and pretty! I completely agree, berries do not taste the same out of season! Beautifully Candid
ReplyDeleteThe flowers! I'm sold to this season. :)
ReplyDeleteThose bluebonnets have my soul! I seriously hope that before my husband's Army career is up, we get stationed in Texas. Dare to dream!
ReplyDeleteFlowers and berries and baseball! Sounds lovely to me! But I'm with you on the tornadoes. We don't really have to worry about that here in VA (though ever once in a while we have a freak storm with one, like last year,) I see them go across Texas and that part of the country on the news and it really freaks me out.
ReplyDeleteI'm with you on loving seeing everything in bloom this time of year! And putting away the winter clothes as well! :)
ReplyDeleteUh, all these things are so amazing and I wish we had them more often in Michigan! Love Spring!!!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE that dress on you!! So cute!! The Dallas Arboretum is one of my favorite parts of Dallas! We're members, though we don't go as much as we did when we lived over that direction... it's still one of my favorite places to walk in the spring.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, friend! The arboretum is just so beautiful! I need to get on it and finish writing my post about that little adventure. :)
